Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Dubai. The role involves managing accounting operations, financial reporting and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities including bookkeeping, journal entries, receipts and payments.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial and sales reports.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Perform bank, AP and AR reconciliations.
• Support cash‑flow management, budgeting and financial analysis.
• Conduct debtor ageing analysis and maintain vendor records.
• Ensure VAT and tax compliance, including computations and reporting.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Liaise with banks, clients and other stakeholders as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• ACCA or CA qualification is an advantage.
• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of AP, AR, financial reporting, reconciliations, VAT and taxation.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Arabic language skills are desirable but not mandatory.
