Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to lead end‑to‑end accounting operations for a corporate service provider in the UAE. The role involves managing daily accounting tasks, VAT compliance, and preparing management information systems independently.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate and timely MIS reports and required schedules.
• Compute, file and ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
• Maintain adherence to IFRS and UAE accounting standards.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses and revenue recognition.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist management with financial analysis and reporting as needed.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of UAE accounting experience, preferably in a corporate service provider or professional services firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (mandatory); CA, CMA or ACCA is an advantage.
• Immediate or short notice period preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT and accounting best practices.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical ability.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Tally, SAP, Oracle, Zoho or similar.
• Expertise in reconciliation and daily operations management.
