Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to lead our financial operations in the construction and real‑estate sectors. The role involves ensuring compliance with accounting standards, delivering accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare, review and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and local tax regulations.
• Monitor project costing, revenue recognition and expense allocation for construction and real‑estate projects.
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors.
• Develop and enforce internal controls, accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and variance analysis to aid strategic planning.
• Oversee cash‑flow management and fund allocation across projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, CMA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience in the construction industry with exposure to real‑estate projects.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, cost control and revenue recognition principles.
• Experience with VAT filing and compliance in the UAE.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership abilities.
