Senior Accountant – Receivables & Invoicing

About the role

The company is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead its accounts receivable and invoicing functions in Dubai. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end revenue collection, ensuring accurate billing and compliance with UAE VAT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and dispatch customer invoices, billing schedules, and supporting documents.
• Maintain customer ledgers, update debtor files, and record incoming payments.
• Analyse AR aging reports, issue statements of account and track overdue collections.
• Reconcile customer balances, resolve billing variances and payment discrepancies.
• Process approved credit notes, debit adjustments, refunds and balance write‑offs.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations and Claims teams to settle account disputes.
• Ensure UAE VAT compliance on outbound billing and maintain audit records.
• Assist with month‑end revenue closing and financial reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• 4–5 years of focused accounts receivable experience, preferably in the UAE market.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and local accounting standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ZOHO Accounting software.
• Experience using ERP platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data matching).
