Senior AI Engineer – Tax & Legal Services

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead the design and delivery of intelligent automation solutions for its Tax & Legal Services practice. The role focuses on building end‑to‑end AI systems that process documents, perform compliance checks and retrieve multilingual regulatory information.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement document processing pipelines, OCR, metadata extraction and multilingual data handling.
• Develop compliance‑checking and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) systems over regulatory data.
• Make architecture and technology decisions, select tools, and drive solutions from concept to production.
• Build scalable backend APIs (FastAPI), integrate LLMs, and deploy solutions on Azure.
• Ensure security, encryption, access control and audit logging in regulated AI environments.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with strong ownership and ability to work independently.
• Proven experience delivering production‑grade AI applications, especially LLM‑based solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and compliance requirements.
• Comfort with handling unstructured, multilingual documents (Arabic a plus).

Required skills

• Advanced Python programming, FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• RESTful API development, OAuth2/JWT authentication, Azure Entra ID.
• LLM integration, RAG techniques, prompt engineering, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel.
• Vector databases such as FAISS, Pinecone, Azure AI Search.
• SQL/NoSQL databases, data lakes, OCR and metadata extraction.
• Basic knowledge of TypeScript, React/Next.js for lightweight UI prototypes.
• Security best practices: encryption, access control, audit logging.
