Senior Analyst, Budget & Cost Control

About the role

The Senior Analyst, Budget & Cost Control will lead the planning, consolidation and monitoring of the Directorate’s annual budget and five‑year business plan. The role ensures financial policies and procedures align with approved agreements and accounting principles, while providing timely variance analysis to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and consolidate the annual budget for the Directorate and support five‑year business planning.
• Prepare, review and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance reports.
• Provide guidance to functions during budget preparation, review business plans and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Analyse actual revenue and expenses against budget, highlight significant variances and propose corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain budget‑monitoring tools and produce regular variance reports for management.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including review of accruals and financial statements.
• Collaborate with IT and Finance & Investment teams on financial system enhancements.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in budgeting, cost control and financial analysis, preferably in a large organization.
• Proven ability to work with senior management and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
