Senior Applied Scientist

About the role

Inception42, part of G42, is looking for a Senior Applied Scientist to lead the design and development of advanced AI algorithms across multiple modalities. The role will bridge cutting‑edge research with real‑world product implementations for industries such as finance, oil & gas, environmental science and healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Design, analyse and optimise state‑of‑the‑art AI models in computer vision, NLP and audio signal processing.
• Develop multimodal solutions that combine text, audio and visual data to enhance human‑machine interaction.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to ensure algorithms are efficient, reliable and scalable.
• Work with product teams to integrate new models into offerings and deliver proofs of concept for clients.
• Provide pre‑sales and post‑sales technical support and propose AI‑driven business improvements.

Required profile

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering or a related AI field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience developing AI algorithms for multiple data modalities.
• Track record of high‑level research, demonstrated by peer‑reviewed publications or product‑focused R&D.
• Strong curiosity, excellent communication skills and up‑to‑date knowledge of AI advances.
