Senior Architect - Information Security (UAE National)

About the role

The Roads and Transport Authority is seeking a senior information‑security architect to shape and enforce enterprise security architecture across its digital initiatives. The role focuses on embedding security controls throughout the software development lifecycle, aligning with regulatory requirements, and supporting both cloud and on‑premises environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define enterprise security architecture, control baselines and risk‑driven reference models.
• Develop and maintain information‑security policies, standards, guidelines and ISMS design patterns.
• Perform early technology‑risk assessments, highlight design risks and propose compensating controls.
• Set security programs and technical standards in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture.
• Govern secure integration patterns for third‑party systems and APIs.
• Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend adoption paths.
• Represent Information Security on architecture boards and steering committees.
• Provide specialist security input to RFPs and oversee security requirements in contracts.
• Lead architectural reviews and ensure security‑by‑design for all new digital projects.
• Coordinate with the Security Operations Center on incident analysis and post‑implementation audits.

Required profile

• UAE national with at least 6 years (72 months) of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in designing and governing security architectures for large‑scale digital initiatives.
• Strong understanding of risk management, governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders and influence architectural decisions.
