Senior Architect

About the role

China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC ME) is recruiting a Senior Architect to join the technical team for a newly awarded large‑scale project in Dubai. The role involves overseeing architectural design, coordinating with subcontractors and consultants, and ensuring the project meets technical and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Review designs, drawings, specifications and BOQ, and modify them to suit prevailing site conditions.
• Review packages and coordinate with subcontractors for all technical queries, highlighting discrepancies pre‑ and post‑tendering.
• Manage a team of structural and architectural draughtsmen for preparation of shop drawings.
• Coordinate with MEP requirements.
• Receive material indents from site, analyse requirements and submit for approval.
• Evaluate and determine appropriate construction delivery systems and cost‑effective plans for project completion.
• Oversee selection of contractors and consultants for specific project components.
• Review and prepare Method Statements and submit them to the consultant.
• Attend weekly progress meetings with client and consultant and resolve critical issues.
• Liaise with subcontractors, contractors, consultants and suppliers to obtain technical clearances.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in Architecture.
• 10+ years of experience in high‑rise towers or large‑scale projects.
