Senior Architect – Site Supervision (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

OMA’s Abu Dhabi office is seeking a Senior Architect to join the site supervision team for a high‑end project. You will support the Site Supervision Lead in delivering OMA’s design intent throughout the construction phase, ensuring quality, compliance and coordination on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural shop drawings, coordination drawings, material data, samples, mock‑ups and method statements for compliance with design intent and specifications.
• Respond to RFIs, prepare supplementary details, assess material substitutions and determine technical equivalence.
• Distinguish issues that can be resolved on‑site from those requiring escalation to the design lead team.
• Maintain clear written records of reviews, decisions, escalations and design‑intent boundaries.
• Inspect works, hold points, samples and mock‑ups, focusing on finishes, tolerances, workmanship and system integration.
• Identify and track deviations early, escalating matters affecting compliance, safety, durability or regulatory approval.
• Represent OMA in technical coordination meetings, design workshops and authority interactions.
• Contribute to progress and quality reporting, photographic documentation, snagging, as‑built review and defect rectification during the Defects Notification Period.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution with professional registration or eligibility to register in the UAE or another GCC country.
• 8–10 years post‑qualification experience, including at least five years in site‑based construction supervision, site architect or delivery architect roles on large‑scale, architecturally complex projects.
