Senior Architect (Site Supervision)

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced Senior Architect to lead site supervision for complex construction projects in Abu Dhabi. You will act as the bridge between design teams and contractors, ensuring that architectural intent is faithfully executed on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all on‑site construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality‑assurance reviews, verifying workmanship, material standards, and adherence to building codes.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive site documentation, including daily reports, inspection logs, change orders, and construction records.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues and clarify design intent.
• Analyze construction challenges, propose innovative solutions, and keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Lead, mentor, and communicate architectural requirements to on‑site teams.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material samples, and construction methodologies for compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years (144 months) of architectural experience, preferably in large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes and construction standards.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and act as a liaison between design and construction parties.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
