Senior Associate – Insurance (Medical Coding)

About the role

The Senior Associate – Insurance will be responsible for accurate medical coding and efficient claims processing within a fast‑paced healthcare environment. This role ensures compliance with DHA, JCI and WHO guidelines while supporting daily operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ICD‑10‑CM, CPT and other coding for patient diagnoses and procedures.
• Execute specialized coding functions for the Vertical and DHA Authority.
• Review, analyse and code diagnostic and procedural information with near‑zero errors.
• Ensure adherence to coding guidelines, DHA policies, regulations and JCI accreditation standards.
• Conduct quantitative analysis and verify completeness of medical records before coding.
• Review records for WHO compliance prior to final code assignment.
• Identify and address submission and coding errors with the relevant teams.
• Maintain organized claims files and handle claim submissions within defined timeframes.
• Achieve daily targets for claim processing and minimize rejections.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• Ability to apply coding standards accurately and consistently.
• Familiarity with DHA policies, JCI accreditation and WHO guidelines.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on error‑free coding and compliance.
• Capacity to manage quantitative analysis and meet processing deadlines.
