Senior Audit Manager

About the role

The Senior Audit Manager will lead the Internal Audit function as an independent assurance partner to the CFO of a fast‑growing food and hospitality group. You will design and execute a risk‑based audit programme covering financial controls, revenue integrity, and inventory/factory operations across all outlets and central facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a 3‑year rolling, risk‑based audit plan and conduct annual risk assessments.
• Establish the internal audit charter, sampling methodology, working‑paper standards, and reporting framework aligned with the IIA standards.
• Lead three audit streams – Financial/Controls, Revenue & Operational, and Inventory/Factory – ensuring timely execution and actionable outcomes.
• Run internal quality assurance on completed audits and coordinate external quality assessments every five years.
• Prepare quarterly reports for the CFO and an annual report for the future Audit Committee, including risk registers and findings status.
• Manage the relationship with a mid‑tier external audit partner, integrating methodology and building internal capability.
• Own the fraud risk register, conduct whistle‑blower investigations, and oversee anti‑bribery compliance reviews.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in internal audit, preferably within the food, hospitality or related sectors.
• Proven ability to design and execute risk‑based audit programmes and to report to senior finance leadership.
• Strong knowledge of IIA frameworks, audit charter development, and quality assurance processes.
• Experience managing external audit partners and driving remediation of high‑risk findings.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of developing junior audit staff.
