Senior Audit Manager - Ports

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Audit Manager to lead complex audit assignments for a leading government entity in Dubai. The role focuses on ports, customs, free zones, logistics and related government operations, providing independent assurance over governance, risk management, financial controls and operational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage internal and operational audit engagements across ports, customs, free zones and logistics.
• Evaluate internal controls, governance frameworks, risk management and financial processes.
• Identify control gaps, operational risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare and review comprehensive audit reports and present findings to senior management.
• Coach and develop audit team members.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
• Contribute to the annual audit plan and risk assessment.
• Ensure audit activities comply with professional standards, regulations and internal policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of internal audit experience, with proven experience managing audit engagements.
• Experience in ports, customs, free zones, logistics, maritime or other highly regulated environments.
• Arabic language proficiency.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CIA or CFA.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
