Senior Automation & Control Engineer – PMC

About the role

Wood is seeking a senior automation and control engineer to join the PMC team for ADNOC Gas in Abu Dhabi. The role provides technical leadership across all project phases, from front‑end engineering design to commissioning and start‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the engineering assurance and oversight of automation, instrumentation and control (AIC) systems throughout FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning and start‑up.
• Review and monitor EPC contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, international codes, approved design philosophies, quality standards, schedule and HSE objectives.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate AIC solutions into overall plant design and ensure seamless hand‑over to operations.
• Provide technical guidance, resolve engineering issues and support decision‑making for complex oil‑and‑gas projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior automation and control engineer on large‑scale oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start‑up phases.
• Ability to work on‑site at the client office in Abu Dhabi and interact with EPC contractors and client stakeholders.
