Senior Clinical Social Worker

About the role

A leading healthcare organization in Dubai is looking for an experienced Senior Clinical Social Worker to deliver psychosocial support to patients and families. You will join a multidisciplinary team, assess needs, provide counseling, and help navigate complex medical situations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients and families.
• Identify social, emotional, financial and environmental factors influencing care.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
• Provide individual and family counseling, especially for serious or complex conditions.
• Facilitate referrals to community, social and healthcare resources.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses and other team members.
• Participate in case discussions, care planning and discharge coordination.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation.
• Advocate for patient needs and support access to services.
• Assist with crisis intervention and quality‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Social Work or a related discipline.
• Professional registration/licensing as required by DHA.
• Significant clinical social work experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Senior‑level experience in psychosocial assessment and intervention.
• Strong counseling and communication abilities.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive patient information.
