Senior Cost Accountant

About the role

The company, a well‑established FMCG and manufacturing enterprise in Dubai, is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join the finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate cost data, supporting production efficiency, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard product costing models, production yield analyses, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Track and analyse cost variances for raw materials, direct labour, and overhead.
• Execute inventory valuation procedures, stock reconciliations and physical warehouse audits.
• Prepare monthly product margin summaries, cost analysis reports and plant profitability statements.
• Collaborate with Production, Procurement and Warehouse teams to verify cost drivers and update ERP master data.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT regulations and annual budgeting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• 4–5 years of cost accounting experience in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Female candidates preferred and immediate joiners encouraged.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Zoho ERP or other major ERP platforms.
• Knowledge of accounting automation and AI analytical tools.
