Qualified Accountant – Jebel Ali, Dubai

About the role

A well‑established company in Dubai is seeking a qualified accountant to manage core accounting functions and trade finance operations at its Jebel Ali office. The role involves end‑to‑end accounting, account finalisation, VAT compliance and handling banking and trade finance documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage core financial accounting processes from entry recording through to monthly and annual finalisation.
• Oversee trade finance instruments, including LC, TR, DA, and DP transactions, ensuring accurate posting into ERP systems.
• Perform complex bank reconciliations, manage corporate banking activities, and track working capital lines.
• Prepare, file, and reconcile VAT returns in compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Support audit processes, prepare financial status reports, and manage fixed‑asset registers.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CA Inter, CPA, or M.Com required).
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of hands‑on accounting experience in the UAE, preferably in trading or supply‑chain environments.
• Immediate availability with no notice period.

Required skills

• Trade finance operations (LC, TR, DA, DP).
• UAE VAT compliance.
• ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics GP.
• MS Office proficiency.
