Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join a fast‑growing fintech/payment platform in Dubai. This hands‑on position will own security operations, incident response, detection engineering, and enterprise security tooling to protect our payment ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead security operations and incident response across endpoint, email, network and web‑facing systems.
• Design, tune and maintain SIEM/XDR and EDR solutions, including detection engineering.
• Collaborate with senior IT and cybersecurity leadership to support a PCI DSS environment.
• Work with managed SOC/MDR services to ensure continuous monitoring.
• Implement and manage security controls such as email security, DLP, SASE/VPN, WAF, DDoS mitigation, API security and Cloudflare.

Required profile

• Currently residing in the UAE and able to work onsite in Dubai.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• 7+ years of hands‑on cybersecurity or security operations experience.
• Strong incident response experience from triage to post‑incident review.
• Experience with SIEM/XDR, EDR, MDR or managed SOC services.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, DORA, ISO 27001, NIST or CIS Benchmarks.
• Broad exposure to email security, DLP, SASE/VPN, WAF, DDoS, API security or Cloudflare.
