Senior Data Engineer – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Cognite is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will work on cutting‑edge industrial data solutions that help power, utilities, energy and manufacturing clients transform their operations using AI and data.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data engineering solutions on the Cognite Data Fusion® platform.
• Develop and manage data integrations, extractions, modeling, and analysis using SQL, Python, Java and REST APIs.
• Create custom data models for discovery, mapping and cleansing.
• Collaborate with data scientists, solution architects, project managers and engineers to deliver end‑to‑end projects.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices for high‑quality, maintainable code.
• Support customers and partners in executing data engineering tasks with Cognite products.
• Contribute to Cognite’s official tools, SDKs and product roadmap.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (experience may substitute).
• Proven experience designing and delivering data engineering solutions at scale.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
