Senior DevOps Engineer – Container Platform (Emiratisation)

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Senior Technical DevOps Engineer to lead the design, automation and operation of its container platform across the airline’s global IT landscape. The role focuses on cloud adoption, CI/CD pipelines and site‑reliability practices to ensure high‑availability services for the airline’s digital products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the discovery and migration phases of cloud adoption, partnering with architects and security teams to define DevOps and cloud engineering architectures.
• Design, implement and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows and container orchestration using OpenShift, Kubernetes, EKS and AKS.
• Drive automation of change management, monitoring, capacity planning and emergency response for assigned product suites.
• Collaborate with release engineering, product development and security to enable canary deployments, roll‑backs and continuous delivery without service interruption.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, container platforms and cloud automation tools.
• Proven ability to apply site‑reliability principles and work in Agile release‑train environments.
