Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer for a fast‑growing ecommerce business in the UAE where platform performance directly drives revenue. You will own critical infrastructure as the platform scales, ensuring uptime, rapid deployments and reliable services that the whole engineering team depends on.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve cloud infrastructure to be scalable, resilient and cost‑efficient for a high‑traffic ecommerce platform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable fast, reliable and repeatable software delivery across multiple teams.
• Lead containerisation and orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker across development, staging and production environments.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code with Terraform or Ansible, reducing manual processes and increasing consistency.
• Define and own observability standards, including logging, monitoring, alerting and incident response.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to embed a DevOps culture and shared ownership throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Contribute to platform architecture decisions focused on reliability, cost efficiency and scale.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in DevOps, platform or infrastructure engineering roles.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP or Azure) and production‑level Kubernetes.
• Proven track record building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tooling, particularly Terraform.
• Solid understanding of networking, security fundamentals and cloud cost management.
• Ecommerce or high‑traffic consumer platform experience is a strong advantage.
