Senior DevOps Engineer – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a global technology leader on a contract basis. The position is fully remote and focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure for high‑traffic applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Manage and optimise cloud environments on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Automate provisioning and configuration with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and implement response procedures.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure, efficient deployments.
• Implement security best practices, including IAM policies and encryption.
• Optimize containerised workloads with Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless architectures.
• Document infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on DevOps experience.
• Proven expertise with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong background in CI/CD pipeline creation and automation.
• Solid scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance requirements.
