Senior Electrical Site Engineer

About the role

The Senior Site Engineer – Electrical will lead the planning, coordination, execution and delivery of electrical works on construction projects in the UAE. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role ensures that all electrical activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, local authority regulations and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute electrical works from start‑up to handover.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs and contracts; prepare method statements, work programmes and technical submittals.
• Monitor progress, ensure compliance with project timelines and support project reporting.
• Provide technical guidance to site engineers, supervisors and subcontractors; resolve design discrepancies and coordinate with HVAC, plumbing, firefighting and civil teams.
• Liaise with consultants, clients and authorities for approvals and inspections; manage material procurement and delivery.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and quality control of electrical systems; support snag clearance and final handover documentation.
• Assist in cost monitoring, variations and claims preparation; maintain accurate project documentation and as‑built drawings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in electrical works on construction/MEP projects.
• At least 2–3 years in a project engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of UAE electrical codes and HSE policies.
