Senior Engineer – Contracts

About the role

Wood Group is seeking a Senior Contracts Engineer to join its Dubai team. The role focuses on developing, negotiating and managing site service contracts for OEM vendors across greenfield and brownfield projects in the oil & gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strong relationships with OEM suppliers while providing commercial and contractual challenge.
• Manage the tender process: coordinate with contract holders, draft tender documents, evaluate bids and prepare reports.
• Structure site service contracts to minimise claims and disputes, ensuring HSSE, QA/QC, environmental and community requirements are captured.
• Oversee contract spend, record it audibly and monitor annual contract value (ACV).
• Support project execution by ensuring contractor compliance, handling change management, variations and claims.
• Prepare and finalise contracting documents in collaboration with the Legal department and obtain necessary approvals.
• Assist with administrative requirements such as visas and oil field passes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in oil & gas contracts or service agreements within project and operational environments.
• Motivated self‑starter with the ability to work independently and deliver results in a complex business setting.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to interact effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
