Senior Estimation Engineer

About the role

The Senior Estimation Engineer will lead the cost estimation process for Facilities Management (FM) bids and tenders, covering both hard and soft services. Working closely with pre‑contract, operations, procurement, technical and management teams, you will develop accurate, competitive and commercially viable cost proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the estimation process for FM bids, reviewing RFPs, scopes, SLAs, KPIs, site surveys and related documents.
• Prepare and issue enquiries, RFQs and RFIs to specialist subcontractors and service providers for MEP maintenance, cleaning, security, landscaping, pest control, waste management and other FM services.
• Validate manpower plans, preventive maintenance schedules, asset quantities and site‑specific service needs with pre‑contract and operations teams.
• Evaluate technical and commercial proposals, negotiate final subcontractor costs and incorporate them into detailed cost estimates.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Soft Services, HSE, Procurement, Operations) to ensure comprehensive and accurate cost models.
• Identify value‑engineering and cost‑optimization opportunities and present recommendations to senior management.
• Conduct quality checks, self‑reviews and provide regular progress updates on estimation activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in FM cost estimation, bid management or related engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of both hard (MEP) and soft FM services.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tender processes simultaneously.
