Senior Freight & Logistics Controller

About the role

The Senior Freight & Logistics Controller will lead financial performance for Aramex's freight and logistics operations in the UAE. This role combines revenue assurance, cost control, budgeting and strategic business partnering to drive margin improvement and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead accurate revenue recognition, validate accruals, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Conduct comprehensive cost and profitability analysis, monitor margins across products, customers and trade lanes, and recommend cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Own budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning processes; produce monthly performance reports, dashboards and variance analysis for senior leadership.
• Act as a trusted finance business partner to freight, logistics, supply‑chain, procurement and commercial teams, providing analytical support for pricing, tenders and network optimisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance or controlling within freight, logistics or transportation environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to partner with cross‑functional teams.
• Relevant finance qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
