Senior Full‑Stack Engineer – Digital Asset Platform

About the role

BurjX, an ADGM‑regulated digital‑asset brokerage and custodian based in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a Senior Full‑Stack Engineer to help design, build and scale its trading platform. You will own features from concept through production, work on both web and mobile interfaces, and ensure the system meets the high security and compliance standards of a regulated fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain product features across frontend, backend, APIs, databases and third‑party integrations.
• Own the full lifecycle of features, from technical design to deployment and production support.
• Build secure, scalable services for trading, onboarding, KYC/KYB, payments, wallets and custody.
• Integrate with banking partners, payment providers, custody platforms, blockchain services and market‑data feeds.
• Participate in architecture discussions and make technical decisions.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce engineering quality, security best practices and manage technical debt.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Operations, Customer Support and other engineering teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Full‑Stack Engineer or similar role.
• Strong background in modern backend technologies, especially Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proven expertise with React‑based frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js or React Native.
• Experience designing and building REST APIs and secure application architectures.
• Hands‑on experience with relational or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Deep understanding of authentication, authorization, access control and application security.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containers and distributed systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
