Senior Hostess – Front‑of‑House Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Hostess to lead our front‑of‑house team at SO/ in Dubai. As the first point of contact for guests, you will set the tone for their dining experience while ensuring smooth operations throughout the service.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and manage the host stand, including phone calls, wait‑list coordination, and guest flow.
• Oversee reservation systems, optimise table assignments and maintain accurate records of bookings, special requests and guest preferences.
• Train, mentor and supervise junior hostesses and other front‑of‑house staff, providing feedback and performance guidance.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly with empathy and professionalism.
• Coordinate with management, servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency.
• Support special events, private dining arrangements and group reservations as required.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as a hostess or similar front‑of‑house role.
• Proven supervisory or lead experience with the ability to train and motivate team members.
• Excellent communication, organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional demeanor with a friendly, customer‑focused attitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent; fluency in English required, additional languages (Arabic, French) a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Experience using reservation management software.
