About the role
We are seeking a Senior HPC System Administrator to join our team supporting a semi‑government university in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on managing the research computing infrastructure, ensuring the high‑performance computing (HPC) cluster and associated services run reliably and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain the HPC cluster hardware and software stack.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimise resource utilisation.
- Implement security policies, backup procedures, and disaster‑recovery plans.
- Collaborate with researchers and faculty to understand computational requirements and provide technical support.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
Required profile
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience as an HPC Systems Administrator.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
