Senior HSE Engineer

About the role

The Senior HSE Engineer will support the implementation of health, safety and environmental (HSE) systems across Alfanar’s operations in Dubai. You will conduct advanced risk assessments, monitor site conditions and ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed HSE risk assessments and validate protection measures.
• Verify compliance with international standards and company policies.
• Integrate HSE requirements into engineering and operational processes, reviewing technical documentation for safety and environmental compliance.
• Prepare and deliver HSE awareness content and training sessions for employees and contractors.
• Develop, maintain and test emergency response plans, including site evacuation procedures.
• Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits and safety checks, recording findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Compile comprehensive HSE reports and present data on compliance and site conditions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSE risk assessment and compliance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of international HSE standards and local regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, operations and contractor teams.
• Excellent communication skills for training and emergency preparedness.
