Senior HSE Engineer

About the role

The Senior HSE Engineer will support the implementation of health, safety and environmental systems across alfanar's operations in Dubai. You will conduct advanced risk assessments, monitor site conditions and ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations, contributing technical expertise to continuously improve safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed HSE risk assessments and validate protection measures.
• Verify compliance of protection systems with international standards and company policies.
• Integrate HSE requirements into engineering and operational processes, reviewing technical documentation for safety and environmental compliance.
• Develop and deliver HSE awareness content and training sessions for employees and contractors.
• Create, maintain and test emergency response plans, supporting site evacuation procedures and drills.
• Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits and site safety checks, documenting observations and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare comprehensive HSE reports, incident logs and root‑cause analyses.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSE engineering within industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of international HSE standards and local regulations.
• Ability to analyse technical documents and identify safety hazards.
• Excellent communication skills for training and stakeholder engagement.
