Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer

About the role

KBR is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer to provide technical leadership on oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing I&C design from FEED through detailed engineering, ensuring safe and cost‑effective solutions, and supporting offshore site activities on a rotational basis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage I&C engineering design and implementation across all project phases.
• Define I&C design basis, standards, and deliverables to meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct offshore and onshore site visits for data collection, condition assessments, and preparation of comprehensive survey reports.
• Develop and review instrument datasheets, I/O schedules, control narratives, Safety Requirement Specifications, RFQs, and scope of work documents.
• Coordinate integration of I&C systems with process, electrical, and other discipline interfaces.
• Mentor junior engineers, drive quality assurance, and ensure schedule adherence.

Required profile

• Valid OPITO‑approved T‑BOSIET or BOSIET certification with a minimum of six months remaining.
• H₂S certification.
• Proven experience in I&C design for oil & gas projects, preferably at senior level.
• Willingness to travel offshore on a rotational schedule for site surveys and brownfield assessments.
