Senior Instrumentation Designer

About the role

McDermott International is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Designer to join its Abu Dhabi team. The role involves delivering high‑quality instrumentation design packages across all project phases while working with limited supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and develop arrangement and detailed conceptual, FEED, and detailed design drawings that meet project specifications.
• Create 3D models and ensure clash‑free integration with other disciplines.
• Issue design deliverables in accordance with MDR, Level 2 & 3 procedures, and agreed schedules.
• Identify scope changes, raise change notifications, and support variation orders.
• Coordinate with all disciplines to obtain inputs, resolve interface issues, and maintain clear documentation.
• Assist the Discipline Lead Designer with estimates, work schedules, and man‑hour requirements.
• Raise technical queries to clarify scope and maintain compliance with McDermott standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in instrumentation design with the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with contract scope, specifications, and inter‑discipline requirements.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to document substantive communications and support change management processes.
