Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor ensures the efficient completion of internal audit projects in line with the IA charter and policies. This role supports the IA Manager in planning, execution, reporting and follow‑up of audit activities across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the IA Manager in preparing the three‑year IA plan and the annual audit plan.
• Conduct annual risk assessment exercises to update the audit plan.
• Co‑develop risk assessments with the IA team and process owners.
• Attend opening planning meetings, prepare minutes and documentation for process‑understanding sessions.
• Identify risks, impacts and controls, and design audit programs with appropriate testing strategies.
• Execute testing of internal controls, assess design effectiveness and submit working papers for review.
• Draft audit observations, obtain management responses, assign risk ratings and prepare audit reports.
• Present findings in closing meetings and follow up on corrective actions.
• Perform follow‑up reviews for audits completed during the year.

Required profile

• Knowledge of the IA charter and IA policies and procedures manual.
• Experience preparing audit plans and conducting risk assessments.
• Ability to draft audit reports, obtain management responses and track follow‑up actions.
