Senior IT Officer (UAE National)

About the role

The Senior IT Officer will provide first‑line technical support and ensure the reliability, security and efficiency of the IT infrastructure at our Dubai site. This role is focused on maintaining network services, managing user devices and supporting core Microsoft services for a multinational chemical company.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues for end‑users.
• Install, configure and maintain laptops, desktops, printers and other peripherals.
• Administer Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP services.
• Monitor system and network performance, perform preventive maintenance and health checks.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assets, troubleshooting steps and procedures.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher‑level support and coordinate with vendors.
• Configure and manage backup solutions, including Synology backup systems.
• Design and improve IT service delivery processes in line with SLA requirements.
• Liaise with clients and Group IT teams to gather requirements and support infrastructure improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Relevant certifications in Cisco and Microsoft preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with service ticket management.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high productivity.
