Senior KYC & Onboarding Officer – Investment Banking

About the role

The Senior KYC & Onboarding Officer will support First Abu Dhabi Bank’s Corporate and Investment Banking divisions by ensuring that all new and existing clients meet the UAE and international Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) standards. This role involves independent “Maker” reviews of client files during onboarding and periodic refreshes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform KYC reviews for new corporate and investment banking clients and conduct periodic refreshes.
• Validate that KYC files contain all required documentation in line with FAB policies, UAE Central Bank regulations, and international AML expectations.
• Assess and mitigate AML, Counter‑Terrorist Financing (CTF), and sanctions risks associated with each client.
• Ensure adherence to Group KYC standards and enforce departmental SOPs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in KYC/AML processes for corporate or investment banking clients.
• Strong knowledge of UAE AML regulations and Central Bank requirements.
• Ability to work independently and make accurate “Maker” decisions on client files.
• Attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.
