Claims Manager – Non-Motor Claims

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Claims Manager to lead our Non‑Motor Claims function in the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on delivering efficient, timely, and compliant claim handling while controlling costs and improving the customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full claims lifecycle – assessment, reserving, settlement, recoveries, litigation and closure.
• Ensure reserve adequacy, limit claim leakage and drive cost‑management initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with customers, brokers, reinsurers, co‑insurers, surveyors, adjusters and legal advisors.
• Lead, coach and develop the claims team, monitoring performance and fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Implement fraud‑prevention measures, claims governance and risk‑control programmes.
• Oversee recoveries, salvage and third‑party claims and ensure compliance with regulatory, AML and internal policies.
• Analyse claims trends, produce management reports and support profitability decisions.

Required profile

• Graduate or postgraduate in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of insurance‑claims experience, including 3‑5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Broad exposure to Property, Casualty, Engineering, Marine, General Accident, Travel, Home and Retail insurance lines.
• Strong knowledge of claims handling, coverage interpretation, reserving, reinsurance/co‑insurance, recoveries, salvage and litigation.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
