Senior Legal Counsel – Assets Procurement

About the role

The Senior Legal Counsel – Assets Procurement will be based in Dubai and report to the Country General Counsel – KSA. The role provides legal advice and support for assets procurement activities, drafts and reviews agreements, and manages legal risks to ensure compliance with applicable laws and timely issue resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent legal advice on contracts, financing documents, shareholder agreements and project agreements.
• Draft, review and maintain legal documentation including board resolutions, powers of attorney and ancillary corporate documents.
• Identify legal risks, propose mitigation measures and ensure proactive risk management.
• Supervise and manage paralegals in line with Acwa’s people‑management policies.
• Report operational activities, challenges and mitigation actions to the Deputy General Counsel – Legal Assets (KSA Region).
• Coordinate with external counsel as instructed and provide guidance to internal legal team members.

Required profile

• Senior‑level legal professional with experience in assets procurement or related project environments.
• Proven ability to interpret complex contracts and manage dispute‑resolution matters.
• Experience supervising paralegals and delivering legal advice across multiple business units.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, board documentation and regulatory compliance.
