Financial Crime Compliance Manager (1st & 2nd Line) – Payments

About the role

The Compliance Manager will support the Head of Compliance in a fast‑paced fintech environment, handling both first‑line operational tasks and second‑line oversight activities. This hands‑on position requires adaptability, proactive problem‑solving and close collaboration with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily compliance operations, including transaction monitoring, sanctions screening and escalation of suspicious activity.
• Assist with customer due‑diligence (CDD/EDD) processes as needed.
• Draft, review and implement compliance policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Prepare documentation for regulatory submissions and licence applications across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to enhance AI‑driven compliance systems.

Required profile

• Strong background in first‑line compliance (transaction monitoring, sanctions, onboarding).
• Practical exposure to second‑line responsibilities such as policy development and oversight.
• Experience in fintech, payments, remittance or EMI‑style environments.
• Familiarity with multi‑jurisdictional regulatory environments and AI‑driven compliance tools.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills.
