Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

FIX Dessert Chocolatier is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to provide strategic and operational legal support across its fast‑growing retail, manufacturing and distribution businesses. The role will ensure that commercial, corporate, regulatory and operational activities are aligned with legal compliance, strong governance and effective risk management. You will work in a dynamic, multi‑jurisdictional environment supporting international expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supplier, distribution, franchise, licensing, NDA, SLA and partnership contracts.
• Advise management on corporate matters, governance, business risks and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal stakeholders in retail, manufacturing, marketing, operations, HR and finance with day‑to‑day commercial queries.
• Assist with corporate structuring, new entity setup, expansions and international market entry, including franchising and joint ventures.
• Manage and protect the company’s IP portfolio worldwide, overseeing registrations, renewals and licensing agreements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE and GCC food regulations, labeling laws, consumer protection and trade compliance.
• Liaise with government authorities and external advisors on licensing, permits and regulatory approvals.
• Handle disputes, arbitration and litigation matters, including settlement negotiations and coordination of external counsel.
• Identify operational and contractual risks and provide practical mitigation strategies to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a senior legal counsel or equivalent in commercial, corporate and regulatory matters.
• Proven ability to work across retail, manufacturing and distribution functions.
• Experience with multi‑jurisdictional transactions, franchising and international expansion.
• Strong knowledge of UAE and GCC food and consumer regulations.
• Excellent negotiation and advisory skills for senior management.
