Senior Manager – External Audit & Assurance (Financial Services)

About the role

Join a large, growing professional services firm where you will collaborate with the Partner to design audit strategies, manage a diverse portfolio and lead a team of Seniors and Associates while serving as the primary contact for key clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a key client portfolio and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Lead large, technically complex audit engagements.
• Support Managers and Assistant Managers to maximise team potential.
• Work strategically with leadership to drive business growth.
• Develop internal and external networks to support business development.
• Support the Audit Partner in the operational running of the team.
• Negotiate client fees per engagement.
• Participate in the interview process for new hires.
• Manage project financials, including budgets, billing and collection.
• Ensure high‑quality audit files and deliverables in line with GT methodology and standards.
• Provide consultation on staff training, planning, IFRS, IDEA, Horizon or Voyager.

Required profile

• 8+ years of external audit experience in a top international firm.
• Professional qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Extensive post‑qualification audit experience across diverse industries.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong networking abilities.
• Passion for business development and strategy.
• Audit delivery experience within practice.
• Experience on large, complex group audits and technical matters.
• Good knowledge of compliance and regulation.
• Proven ability to inspire and develop people.
