Senior Manager - Projects

About the role

The IT Senior Project Manager will lead the end‑to‑end delivery of critical application and integration programmes, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to high quality standards. The role coordinates stakeholders, vendors and internal delivery teams while guaranteeing safe deployment, operational hand‑over and measurable adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own delivery strategy for programmes covering ERP, CRM, HCM, finance apps, SaaS integrations and workflow platforms, selecting agile, waterfall or hybrid methods.
• Establish project governance structures, including steering committees, change control, RAID logs and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with business owners, architecture, security and data teams to ensure solution designs meet enterprise standards.
• Lead vendor management, tracking SOW/SLA compliance, commercial terms and escalation processes.
• Oversee discovery workshops, functional and non‑functional requirement documentation, and baseline planning (schedule, resources, budget).
• Manage UAT execution, defect triage, data migration, cut‑over planning and go‑live readiness.
• Coordinate service transition activities such as training, knowledge transfer, SOP creation and hyper‑care support.
• Drive process improvement by standardising delivery templates (BRD, FRD, user stories, cut‑over checklists) and strengthening change control.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience delivering enterprise application programmes with full ownership of scope, schedule and budget; 15 years preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field; PMP or PRINCE2 certification and Agile certification (CSM/PSM/SAFe) required.
• Proven ability to lead matrixed teams, manage multiple vendors and enforce rigorous project controls.
