Senior Manager Tax & Financial Reporting Compliance

About the role

Senior Manager – Tax & Financial Reporting Compliance will lead the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of clients’ tax and financial reporting obligations. The role involves technical review and delivery of UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, accounting and financial reporting assignments for a diverse portfolio of SMEs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee UAE Corporate Tax registrations, assessments, return preparation and filing, ensuring correct application of legislation.
• Manage VAT registrations, return filings, refunds, and health checks, and support responses to FTA audits.
• Review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements prepared under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs, ensuring accuracy of trial balances and disclosures.
• Establish and maintain strong review procedures, maker‑checker controls and risk management processes for all assignments.
• Lead, supervise and develop tax managers, accountants and senior staff, allocating work and monitoring performance.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from a recognized professional body.
• Minimum five years of UAE experience in accounting, auditing, tax or professional services.
• Strong practical knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax, VAT legislation and IFRS.
• Proven experience managing multiple client portfolios and statutory deadlines.
• Experience reviewing work of accountants, tax professionals and coordinating with external auditors.
