Senior Manager – Tax

About the role

WSP is seeking a Senior Manager – Tax to lead taxation activities across its Middle East operations. You will ensure full compliance with local tax regulations while aligning with global standards, supporting strategic decisions and driving tax efficiency in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee corporate tax, withholding tax and VAT compliance for the Middle East region.
• Review material transactions from a tax perspective and communicate risks and mitigations to management.
• Provide advisory on direct, indirect and employment taxes, including transfer pricing and OECD Pillar Two requirements.
• Facilitate resolution of tax assessments and support uncertain tax position evaluations.
• Advise on cross‑border transactions, permanent establishment risks and treaty relief.
• Assist in corporate restructuring, acquisitions and legal entity consolidation.
• Prepare financial information for bids and keep the business informed of legislative changes.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of tax experience, preferably with Big 4 or a reputable firm.
• Strong knowledge of direct, indirect and employment taxes in the Middle East.
• Experience in transfer pricing, tax provisioning and cross‑border tax issues.
• Ability to work closely with finance teams, senior leadership and external auditors.

Required skills

• In‑depth understanding of corporate tax, VAT and withholding tax regulations.
• Proficiency in tax compliance tracking and reporting.
• Knowledge of OECD Pillar Two (Global Minimum Tax) implementation.
• Experience with tax risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
