Senior Manager TM Uptake Management

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager for TM Uptake Management to lead our Middle East team from Dubai. Reporting to the Director TM Uptake Management, you will drive vessel and voyage utilization while aligning with commercial guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the TM Uptake Management team across the Middle East.
• Optimize vessel and voyage utilization on designated services and trades.
• Collaborate closely with Regional Commercial, Operations, Customer Service, and Cargo Operations.
• Analyse optimisation potential and costs, and develop proposals with TM Pricing & Steering.
• Ensure compliance with global processes and guidelines.
• Share best practices with other team leads and coordinate training needs.
• Participate in FIS Allocation Management projects and roll‑outs.
• Organise workload distribution, backup arrangements, and stakeholder alignment.
• Serve as the primary point of entry for trade‑related issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Shipping, Transportation or a related discipline.
• Several years of experience in liner shipping or transportation, with operational and commercial steering exposure.
• Strong analytical and methodical working style.
• Open‑minded with excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams and implement new concepts.
• Good knowledge of Hapag‑Lloyd’s global product offering.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Hapag‑Lloyd applications: FIS, QlikView, QlikSense.
