Senior Network Engineer

About the role

Al Rostamani Communications is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement and maintain enterprise‑grade IP network services for its customers across the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on core routers, switches, firewalls and Wi‑Fi solutions, ensuring reliable connectivity and high‑performance network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain enterprise‑level network hardware, applications and firewalls.
• Plan, configure and implement data and Wi‑Fi infrastructure in coordination with customers, service providers and business partners.
• Provide post‑sales technical support and act as a Subject Matter Expert for complex multi‑vendor environments.
• Assist Technical Managers in evaluating new products and tools, including third‑party solutions.
• Submit weekly operational and project reports, highlighting escalations and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, and support project implementation and documentation.
• Prepare and validate Low‑Level and High‑Level Design documents and other project‑related paperwork.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the line manager within the scope of work.

Required profile

• Graduate or Diploma in Electronics, Telecom, IT or Computer Science.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in enterprise network implementation and support.
• Relevant certifications such as CCIE or HCIE.
• Strong knowledge of converged networks, wireless, security, routers, switches, firewalls and network‑management software.
• Experience with SDN solutions and Cisco networking/Wi‑Fi technologies.
• Full network lifecycle experience from requirements gathering to maintenance.
• Proficiency in IP addressing (IPv4/IPv6), subnetting, routing and core protocols (TCP, UDP, SNMP, FTP, TFTP, NetFlow/SFlow).
• Understanding of LDAP, DNS, RADIUS and TACACS+ authentication mechanisms.
