Senior Officer Operations Data & Analytics

About the role

The Senior Officer – Operations Data & Analytics is responsible for end‑to‑end development and delivery of high‑quality data, analytics and reporting solutions that support airport operational performance. The role applies data‑governance principles, manages analytical workstreams, builds advanced Power BI and Databricks tools and acts as a technical reference within the Airport Management Centre.

Key responsibilities

• Lead reconciliation and validation of monthly aeronautical billing datasets and ensure data accuracy, completeness and fitness for purpose.
• Develop and maintain data repositories, data dictionaries, source mappings and document AODB data flows and system integrations.
• Design and implement automated data‑quality monitoring, anomaly detection and database schema optimisation.
• Analyse operational data, produce actionable insights, and deliver high‑quality reports and dashboards to stakeholders.
• Build new analytical capabilities such as AI‑assisted analytics, predictive models and automation solutions.
• Support airport operations, comply with HSE policies and contribute to the AUH terminal transition initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline.
• 4‑5 years of experience in data analytics or reporting, preferably within aviation or a complex operational environment.
• Proven ability to deliver analytical projects independently and integrate large, multi‑system datasets.

Required skills

• Power BI development (DAX, data modelling, row‑level security, deployment pipelines).
• SQL query development and optimisation.
• Databricks notebook development and environment management.
• Python programming (or R) for data processing and analytics.
• Data pipeline and ETL design, data visualisation and dashboard creation.
• Statistical and quantitative analysis, process mapping and documentation.
• Understanding of aviation data systems (AODB, FIDS, BHS) and related regulations.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts such as anomaly detection and predictive analytics.
