Senior Operational Control System (OCS) / SCADA Engineer

About the role

Sener is seeking a Senior Operational Control System (OCS) / SCADA Engineer to join its UAE team. The role focuses on delivering complex rail and metro projects in the region, providing technical expertise from design review through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Review OCS/SCADA system designs, architectures, specifications, drawings and supplier documentation.
• Assess contractor and system integrator submissions for compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate OCS/SCADA interfaces with signalling, telecommunications, traction power, MEP, cybersecurity, rolling stock and other railway systems.
• Support installation activities, ensuring adherence to approved designs and technical standards.
• Participate in system integration, testing, commissioning and technical verification.
• Identify and resolve technical, interface and integration issues throughout project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance on OCS/SCADA systems and ensure compliance with railway standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Control Systems, Automation or a related field.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience, including mandatory rail‑systems exposure.
• Proven experience with Hitachi and/or Thales OCS/SCADA solutions.
• Strong understanding of railway SCADA and OCS architectures, control systems, interfaces and communications.
• Experience reviewing designs, supporting installation, integration, testing and commissioning.
