Senior Operator (Process – Oil & Gas)

About the role

The Senior Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring and controlling assigned plant units that process, store and export oil and gas products. The role ensures compliance with company and HSE standards while maximizing plant yield and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Operate control panels and related machinery safely according to SOPs.
• Log operating incidents, perform routine equipment checks and arrange servicing or repairs.
• Supervise shift hand‑over, authorize work permits and monitor contractor activities.
• Adjust speeds, temperatures, pressures and flow rates during start‑ups, shutdowns and emergencies.
• Monitor instrumentation, diagnose abnormal situations and implement corrective actions.
• Manage chemical dosing, prepare solutions and ensure correct usage following HSE procedures.
• Act as auxiliary fireman or site safety officer when required.
• Maintain accurate records of integrity tests, change‑over routines and verification tasks.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in oil & gas process operations.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to supervise teams, coordinate with other departments and manage contractors.
• Proven capability to operate and troubleshoot integrated control systems.
• Attention to detail for instrument readings and chemical handling.
